I was really upset after the game on Saturday. The more I look back at it, I was more disappointed than anything. Franklin has done a great job of upgrading the roster athletically. We are almost at the point where 8-4 should be our low point as a program. Saturday was the first time we lost to a Big 10 West team in 4 yrs. Just disappointed how unprepared we came out, on defense especially. I give Minnesota credit but we are still the better team, but that's football. Franklin has been doing a great job with grad rates, off the field stuff, etc. Keep building the roster with high end recruits.

PS-All this goes out the window if Indiana beats us on Saturday!!! LOL

Did anyone see the fumble in the first half where the Minnesota player touched it while he was oob? or did I see things? I was at a bar(no replay). If so, what would be the call?

I think we had our chances to beat Minnesota, but I don't know how you can make the argument that PSU is the better team.

3 interceptions (two that should have been called back due to penalty) and you only lose by 5. If they play that game 10 times, psu wins more than 50% of them. If we are lucky enough to somehow get to Indy and face them again, Penn State would be favored.

Of course we would. But in this wonderful eutopian future, the world has changed a lot! We would have beaten OSU at the Shoe...

Reminds me of the 1987 Fiesta Bowl, you only have to win once even if would lose the next 5 ....

Agreed. Minnesota won the one that mattered. I wouldn't bet the mortgage on Minnesota in a rematch based on Saturday's performance.
