After the events in Paris this week, it really got me thinking about some concerns I've had for a couple seasons.
Reading updated reports from what happened in Paris, you'll see that the devices that we're detonated were supposed to be inside the soccer stadium. It was only because a security guard frisked the man wearing the vest that prevented him from entering. Clear plastic bags and purse checks are fine, but it's not enough.
I sent both Barbour and Barron an email suggesting some additional services at the Beav. Hopefully some can be implemented next season such as guards with metal detectors and other security personnel to briefly frisk fans entering the stadium. Obviously, part of the problem would be paying for additional employees, but it's a small price to pay for safety.
Now I'm sure some here will laugh and mock me, saying I'm overly worried, but I think it's important to be proactive. I encourage all to email these two and offer suggestions as well. 1 email will do nothing, many will get people thinking.
