My Penn State Game Day tradition: Grateful Dead, Rec Hall, 5/6/80

this concert is pretty incredible, released as "Road Trips Vol 3 #4" along with most of the second set of Cornell U 5/7/80

I jam it in my car on the way to watch the game. gets me pumped up for the game, feels like it also got me through the lean years . . .



what are some of your game day traditions??

We come from the east and on 64 just before it splits off to 550 at Zion, there is a house on the right if you're going toward State College. The owners put up a small wall/statue with 3 pieces of pipe made to look like the old H shaped goalposts on top. The middle has red bricks shaped like a football with the owners names (John Marge Lowery) in the middle. It caught my attention and I always look for it when we pass that way. If I fail to see it, I take it as a bad sign for the game. It is a great piece of work and wish I could compliment them on in somehow someway.
