Hey boys I'm back from my trip to the Auburn at Clemson game and want to share with you my experience. Overall it was awesome.
Here are some interesting things I took away from the trip.
Tailgating is very similar to PSU. This pic above is from their tailgate row. It's a cool area along this sidewalk. There's another area that's a huge parking lot that is similar to a psu tailgate scene. Overall comparable to psu. Good tailgate scene.
One of the interesting things o saw was the large number of golf carts all over the tailgate areas. These aren't golf carts for the school. They are golf carts of fans. They drive from their tailgate to the stadium and have golf cart parking areas. Genius. So many people were doing it.
Here's me riding on the back of one heading to the stadium.
The town of Clemson is SUPER small so it actually makes sense. Drive the golf cart from your house to the game. Avoid traffic. It was horrendous after the game as there are only 2 main roads out. Speaking of the town of Clemson. It has maybe 8 bars. So Friday night out was insanity because you had a million people trying to up to 8 bars. I don't really recommend the bar scene there. Most of the bars are somewhat run down. Luckily we got into the Tiger Town Tavern early and hung there. Also went to TDs which was pretty sh*tty and Loose Change. If you want to see every hot girl at Clemson go to Loose Change.
Back to the game.
Atmosphere lived up to the hype.
Team comes around in busses. Gets dropped off at the top of the hill. Then runs down after touching Howard's Rock. Balloons get released and fans go nuts. Fans are into the game the whole time.
Here's a look from field level. And entrance to the club section
The club facilities are very nice. Suites are also very nice. PSU desperately needs to update the press box and suites to keep up with the places I've been.
Fun fact. Students can leave and enter the stadium as many times as they want. The halftime binge drinking was insane. Then they go back in and are 20xs more hammered.
This is me touching Howard's Rock. It sits in the student section. End of game it gets covered up.
Students stand on the hill during the game. Reminded me of UVA
Also after EVERY game win or lose they storm the field. Super lame.
Kids and their families can throw the football on the field after the game for a good 45 mins when the game is over which is cool. But storming the field was dumb.
Overall. It was a great trip. I highly recommend going to a game there. It's one of the few venues that I've been to that rivals a Beaver Stadium in terms of intensity. Good tailgate scene. Plenty of attractive women. I'd score it an 8 out of 10 on my game day scale.
Fans were very nice. Honestly. Auburn fans were really nice too. They loved that Clemson beat Alabama in the natty and they made that known throughout the day. Everyone enjoyed each other. Was nice to see.
