Breaking up tailgates with helicopters and horses? Eating onion dip? Blowing through fat stacks of cash to make our dear leaders and their friends richer?
POSITIVE. LIGHT.
Blue Band, in addition to being our heart beat at games, it's loaded with Engineers, and Schreyer Honors Students. Great group of kids.
Spanning the last 11 games, PSU has scored on 51 of 52 trips to the redzone. The tipped INT. in the Fiesta Bowl is only empty trip. The past 48 trips to the redzone have resulted in 44 TDs.
+1 and I know, crazy thought, but let the Blue Band perform at halftime. Not that craptacular show we had Sat. night at halftime.
High College rankings: Eberly College of Science, Engineering, Liberal ARts (maybe others...)*crickets*
I absolutely love the Blue Band. I make an effort to get into the stadium early as to not miss their entrance. I have been a Penn State fan for as long as I can remember, early 1970's. I often joke with my friends that I did not attend Penn State, but my money did (middle son graduated in 2011). I still get goose bumps and a tear in my eye when they take the field. My youngest son was a member of his high school band. I know what type of hard work and long hours of practice go into performing at that level. This is cool if you haven't seen it...don't get a lot of these long one-shot takes when watching on TV.
+1 for the White-Out but -1 for spelling.
Self-loathing. Lookin at you, Bob.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who felt that way. I hardly heard the Blue Band playing because the volume was turned up so loud for the singers. And they weren't that good.+1 and I know, crazy thought, but let the Blue Band perform at halftime. Not that craptacular show we had Sat. night at halftime.
