1-- Most of the Pitt team is back next year. How much does this team improve ?
2-- Does it seem as though the NarDog is unhinged on the sidelines? Doesn't appear to be much of a sidelines coach.

How does Pitt match up with Penn State next year?

Boyd and whitehead are all they have... They probably get beat 45-10 today without them

Boyd to enter the draft
Whitehead to mark X's on each day for the next two calendar calendar years until he can enter the draft...

Rest of the 412 crew going to a big ten school....

Mark this down:

Two years from now Narduzzi will be gone to greener pastures. He will be replaced with a loser.

Five years from now pitt will drop out of the ACC for football and start playing Robert Morris, Duquesne, Point Park, etc.

pitt can no longer recruit against the big boys and will be forced out of the football mainstream.

The more I see of the Douche the more I want him to stick at Pitt. The more he coaches the less likely he will attract a better job...He should have jumped ship while he could. His arrow is now pointing down.

Especially his sideline demeanor - he constantly has this crazy, pained look on his face coupled with a lack of control that makes him seem like a lunatic that just had a zuchinni jammed up his backside.

I am not as anti-Pitt as many here. My objective analysis, albeit incomplete as I have not seen a lot of Pitt football this year, is that they should be a pretty solid team next year. Per the rivals depth chart they return 8 starters on offense and 8 on defense and that assumes Boyd leaves. In addition to the 8, Connor should be back which will give them a nice 1-2 punch at HB to team with an experienced QB and a decent o-line.
Will they be great? Not even close. But certainly 6-6 - 8-4 is likely and they will be a tough September match up for us.

How dare you be so objective and level-headed. I'm ashamed.

I think Narduzzi is a capable coach with a challenging job to do. I also think he is cutting his teeth as a head coach at Pitt and will at some point move back to the Big Ten or perhaps the Cleveland Browns ;). He has done an admirable job at Pitt to date and they will be a difficult opponent next year.

I don't hate Pitt, I don't cheer for Pitt, they are more of an afterthought with respect to college football and I hope to god PSU does not lose to them the next two years.

Connor may not be ready to play football at all next because of Hodgkin's disease.

I actually wouldn't be surprised if Boyd came back should his eval grade put him at 3rd round. He'll be a great player but only chance to improve that grade is the combine...and with speed not being his best asset as opposed to his hands and route running his projection is unlikely to change much.

Pitt and PSU are still dealing with the bulk of their talent being younger players. Position by position matchup there are still too many unknowns and both teams will have a lot of work to do offensively. Skill positions are in good shape though.

Defensively, I don't know what Pitt brings back but even with a retooling on the DL PSU has superior talent at LB and secondary.

I'm expecting Pitt to have a very entertaining season next year.......for us. They finished the season 2-4. Won 2 games on last second field goals in games they were outplayed the majority of the game. Played 2 backup Qb's the would have been losses had the Qb's played. They were lucky to be in a bowl. Next year, they play @Clemson, @Oklahoma St, Marshall, @Miami, @UNC, Penn State. I think it's going to be a rough year for the Nard Dog.

Pitt has a good shot at beating us next year. Their overall experience level is high and they have a good returning starter at QB. PSU's talent edge will be in the freshman and sophomore classes, so that diminishes it a bit. Plus, in a given game, especially a rivalry, anything can happen. Narduzzi's not very likeable, but seems to be a good coach as he's improved their low talent defense.

I heard Mel Kiper say, that depending on how his combine went, that he was a first round choice.

1- I was surprised by the way he behaved yesterday. Not sure how many players are looking for that.

2- with plenty of time to prepare, the D seemed to be constantly surprised and slow.

3- didn't make many adjustments during the game. Game day coaching was not good.

All good points. Regarding #1 it isn't the first time he's acted like this. He was a lunatic for the ND and Miami games as well. I think he has "issues".

Recruiting only gets Nardogg so far. He was OUTCOACHED. His three and four stars lost to two stars.

Boyd will go first round of he has a good combine. He's got first round talent.
