I'm surprised Bruce Pearl has survived any real scrutiny so far simply because of his track record of NCAA problems and time as an announcer on ESPN.

Yeah, there you go....unsubstantiated third-hand rumors that don't even identify an individual player.

Clearly, it must mean illegal payments.

For fair disclosure, I'm a Duke guy and have followed Coach K's career very closely. I don't believe he is cheating, and I don't put much stock in such flimsy accusations. Unfortunately, one thing about scandals is they cast doubt even on those within the sport who are clean.

The source did not believe Coach K or his assistance were involved.

Very few schools are not doing this in basketball recruiting. Since Coach K and Duke, like Kentucky have become the OAD kingdom. Really think all those OAD top kids go to Duke or Kentucky without $$$ changing hands?

Something tells me that Nike won't be caught up in this. Reason being is because they are already so big and have their hand in everything including the top deals. Adias and UA are playing catchup to Nike hence their method of trying to get some of these top althletes

Nike AAU summer league records were recently required to be turned over to the FBI PER COURT ORDER. This is just the beginning , I hope it goes to football too.
