Does anyone know how the Saturday schedule normally plays out? I know the medal rounds start at 11am. I can't remember if this is when they wrestle the 3/4, 5/6, 7/8 place matches on 3 mats or if they are still wrestling a consi round first and then starting the medal matches afterwards?

Trying to determine if it's just a quick 2 hours (11-2/3) or so and then a long break until finals in the evening so I can plan if I need to stay in front of my computer/TV all day or if I have time to go out before the finals start.

There is a consi round of two matches each weight before the medal rounds, according to the brackets. This round decides who goes 3/4 or 5/6.

Stolen from Roar a few weeks back, re-posted so I can find it easier.

They will wrestle the consy semis across 3 mats and then wrestle the 3rd, 5th and 7th place matches across 3 mats. Usually the biggest break of the 3 days is Saturday between the medal round and the finals

According to Comcast, there is no televising of the finals.

For some reason in Philly, the current Comcast schedule has boxing on ESPN and the NCAA Finals on ESPN2. Not sure if that is a typo at this point or not.

Yeah, you're pretty much going to want to call in sick, put the phone on "do not disturb," disregard all emails, and not leave the house all day Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. :D Unless you're one of the blessed few on this board who will be in Cleveland. In which case, you'll have the good fortune of escaping to a different venue.

I won't be in Cleveland but definitely on PTO Thurs and Fri. Just trying to get an idea on how long I can leave my battle station on Saturday before the finals :D

Going by memory, I don't think the wrestling went past about 3:00 on Saturday afternoon. It certainly didn't run up to 5 or 6...

Because of TV there is a timeout after each weight is concluded so Session 5 should run around 3 hours and a bit.

This is the first year in a long time that I don't work a majority of my time from home and will miss out on the first session on Thursday. I do plan on working remotely on Friday though. Still planning my "story" on why I need to work remote. :D
