New Info On The Irishman

kinda want to see the movie but I'm done with anything DeNiro is in ..unfortunate but he's aways been one of my two or three fav actors.
Dietrich is a cool place catch a film. If it wasn't on the same day as the release of Netfix, you'd probably catch me there after a great meal at Twigs right up the road.
It says they may have it for 3 weeks, so I won’t be going on opening night too crowded.
Personally I could care less about politics when deciding on a movie but I’m an independent and would lose many friend lol
Tho Trump is one of best live entertainers I’ve seen, a bonafide ratings king, but he is also as incompetent a Governor we will ever see IMO of course lol . Kind of feel for him at the moment as the guy is clearly in over his his and overcompensating by lashing out with crazy talk/actions. Legit reality TV presidency & turning politics into a ratings bonanza is just remarkable. Time to slow down and start listening tho IMO, way too much chaos

He’s been coasting for awhile now taking a lot of crap roles and mailing it in, though I liked him in the Joker.
I don’t see him playing a physically massive Irishman. Hopefully he’ll at least try to mimic Sheeran’s Philly accent.
Just read the book "I Heard You Paint Houses" this summer. Am very interested to see the movie version. Growing up in SE PA, there were quite a few familiar names.
Exactly - Sheeran’s a Delco boy. Easy accent, but I’m sure Deniro will just give it the standard NYC voice and be done with it. He didn’t even try in Silver Linings Playbook.
I love Pesce, and am surprised he came out of retirement to do this film as it was my understanding he absolutely hated the hours involved for filming. DeNiro and Pacino seem like they reached a point a few years ago where they were just going to play every character the same way. No more nuance, like say in the Deer Hunter.
Spoke out is putting it mildly. Great actor, but otherwise unhinged. It is fine to disagree. He takes it too far, based on nothing other than opinion.

Not sure that accent can really be mimicked. Never seen it done. Maybe by a person who grew up on the burbs and doesn’t have the accent but has always been surrounded by it.
Disclaimer: I'm half Italian (so I guess I can say this without offending anybody). I'm having a hard time working up any excitement about a bunch of Italian guys making an Irish movie.
I recall Gorky Park would've have been a terrific movie if not for all the English accents that just detracted from every great scene.
I realize Daniel Day-Lewis is "retired", but this seems like it's going to come off as McGoodFellas.
