OSU closes the gap in the consy semi round, Lehigh and UNC jump Cornell...

1. PSU 158.5
2. OSU 146
3. Lehigh 99.5
4. UNC 94.5
5. Cornell 89.5

PSU with 6 finalists, OSU with 4.

There's one head to head, Nico vs. Klimara...need to win that one for the team race. PSU should be the favorite at 125, 149, 157 (although Nolf vs. Smith will be a good one) and 197. I'd say Bo should be favored as well, but he is wrestling the higher seed in Ethan Ramos from UNC. Jordan faces an uphill battle against Garrett.

OSU is a lock to win 165 and should be favored at 285. I think even though Heil is the higher seed, that McKenna has a really good shot to beat him at 141.

It may come down to some of their wrestlers going for 3rd and 5th if we don't have a good round in the championship finals.

Consider this...below is an article from flo talking about the team race. OSU's 57 pounder have them all of 1 point. Had Jo Jo Smith results been allowed to count in the team race he would've brought 21 points to the team score and OSU would be comfortably ahead heading into the finals. Coach Smith definitely has a tough decision in regards to pulling his sons shirt...

I don't see the tough decision. He won't win 4 even with a redshirt. Would this even be a question with any other kid? Nolf, Imar, Hall, etc aren't going anywhere in nearby weight classes.

I agree, he's not getting 4 titles but he brings a heck of a lot more points to the table then their current guy at 57. The point is that if his shirt was pulled and his performance thus far at the tourney counted in the team race OSU would be ahead of us. Coach Smith seeing this may have his wheels turning in regards to pulling the shirt.

I like your thinking...
I don't like the law of transitive property with sports. So even though Imar only beat Smith by 6, I still favor him against our boy due to his power. I'm afraid Jason might get too ballsy with Imar and pay dearly for it.
