Bartlett easily handled 2x NJ Champion Anthony Clark (Princeton commit) 9-4 at the Sem-Delbarton dual at Rutgers last night.
Robbie Howard returned to the mat tonight against NJ #2 Nico Nardone of Delbarton. Loses a tough 5-4 decision. Gassed pretty badly and could not get out from bottom to tie the match after missing a big throw and getting taken down. Shoulder was heavily taped fwiw.
SEM’s Nic Bouzakis, ranked number one at intermat, mauled Nardone last week with an 8-1 drubbing. Full disclosure; I’m not a Robert Howard fan and am not confident his success in high school translates to elite college wrestling.
Injury on top of not having your wrestling lungs because of injuries is a recipe for disaster. Think he did well all things considering. Still feel we are going to love the "product" after scrapping with RBY every day in the room.
Well I hope they’re not ruining the kid’s shoulder running him out there injured
I could be convinced that talks about a RS to heal up fully could have happened.

Is it him or the other young man from the area ( Van Ness I believe) who is interested in Princeton.
Selfishly, I'd love to see Kyle Hauserman come in from Council Rock North in 2021-22 as a 2-time PIAA 3A champ, although he grew from 106 to 120 this year, so who knows if he'll even be a 125 in college.
Howard is signed with PSU and graduating in a few months.
Van Ness is 2021. His finalists are PSU, Princeton, Rutgers, Cornell, Michigan.
He's committed to Penn, no?

But lets not look ahead yet. 2020 has a story to tell yet.
I was listening to FRL the other day and they were talking about some of the upper weights and how they look next year. 174 almost completely clears out with Anthony Valencia possibly being the biggest name returning. They didn’t mention but I think kid from Michigan who is Olympic redshirting returns as well. Ben said with how the weight looks Starocci should be in the mix for a title next year. I think he also said that Starocci looks like a top 3 kid this year. At the beginning of this year I had Starocci in a tier just below AB, Beard, and Kerk with Nevills and Joe Lee but after the year he has had and the growth he has shown since being in that room I think he might be the best of them all. I am a HUGE AB fan and think Kerk could be the next great heavy so maybe those 3 are equally amazing. No matter what, I can’t wait to watch them next year. The team is going to be soooo young but so damn talented.
Kemerer should get his MR and return at 174 next year
Somewhere on the internet, I read that the only way a wrestler can receive a 6th year of eligibility is for Cael to manipulate or trick the NCAA into granting it.
If Kememer's getting one, maybe the Iowa fans should thank Cael for his benevolence.
Due to the Olympic weights, guessing Amine up to 184 next year ... but we'll see.

I never ask what Aaron weighs in at, but his muscle is a dense muscle that doesn’t look swollen like weight lifting muscles. He has functional strength. So, he has always looked smaller even at times that he was heavier.
I’m sure he can. They both have to beat some good wrestlers to even get the opportunity. So, we will see.
Agree with you on being skeptical of Howard success in college. I don't think he's strong enough to transition to college and still have a high success rate . We'll see.

Man next years 165-hwt looks awesome and f*n to watch. But like others said. This years team hasn’t finished their story

Bouzakis and Bartlett just mauled their way through the PAIS state tournament sticking everyone they faced. Prior to the finals Beau’s falls were each less than a minute. In the final he took down his opponent about seven times in the first minute before turning him for the fall. The finals are on youtube for those interested.
AB has horsed around some tanks already. I'm buying functional strength.
Anyone know if Lewis will still be 165? I kinda look for him to go 174, but he should be favored at either.
