and has generated all kinds of speculation across the WWW.

It is officially:

Star Wars: The Last Jedi

Summary of some of the speculation:

- does Luke die in this episode
- does Rey, who it is believed will be trained by Luke in this episode, die in this episode
- will Kylo Ren abandon his training with Supreme Leader Snoke, and leave the Dark Side and become a Jedi
- will Luke and Rey battle Kylo Ren -- if so, who comes out alive
- is there another older Jedi, like Luke, that will come out of the wilderness
- is the title referencing Jedi as a singular or a plural
- is this somehow a homage to Princess/General Leia, who will be making her last appearance in a Star Wars film (at least as a live body; not including possible CGI representations)

Dec. 15, 2017 can't get here soon enough. ;)

Well, at present I believe Luke is the last Jedi. Rey may be "strong with/in the Force", but I believe one trains to be a Jedi, which would imply you have to be dubbed one by other Jedi. (If that makes sense.). So I would say the title is simply a reference to Luke being the last Jedi...at least for now. Suggests to me that a good bit of the movie may revolve around him training Rey.

I read an article where Disney or Lucasfilm said at present they had no plans to do a CGI Carrie Fisher in future movies. Of course it would have been tacky of them to say that they would right after she passed away.

Russian hackers have already leaked spoiler footage...

The latest tidbits:

apparently at a Disney shareholders meeting on Wednesday, there was a showing of a video, which featured a continuation of The Force Awakens, but has Luke asking Rey, "Who are you?" (Funny thing about Jedis -- at times they can see/feel the future, and at other times they ask the simplest questions.)

As always, Star Wars fans have gone crazy trying to interpret what the video shown to the shareholders means.

An article and video about this is available at THIS LINK.

Hamill is an interesting story. Basically typecast because of Luke (and his unfortunate auto accident) but found a second career in voice acting. His 'Joker' (beginning with Batman: The Animated Series and going into video games and other mediums) is considered, by most comic nerds (myself included), as THE definitive Joker....

I liked him as the Trickster in the original Flash series....
