I believe he was at Ironhead's side Sunday. Did he give any updates on his recovery?

I believe he mentioned something to the effect that he hopes to wrestle this season, but it's way too early to tell. Nothing specific that I remember other than that. He didn't seem real hopeful to me. Just the feeling I got.

I found Nick Nevill's to be a highly intelligent, very well spoken young man. I'm hoping for his recovery and I know that all efforts are being make to progress his healing and I hope to see him before the season ends. That's my feeling.

NN said he would have a better idea in two weeks whether he may wrestle again this year. I believe he said he had a 90% tear. He didn't sound very optimistic. He would really complete this great team.

So very true if he were able to wrestle. My only fear is it happening again.

One thing Nick said that bears repeating. Dan Monthly, as Nick stated, is the best in the biz.

As far as the OP's question, I'm guessing some are hopeful Nick will return this season. Even Coach Cael has left the door open a little. Very little.

I had the pleasure of meeting Nick's entire family at Stanford on Sunday and they are all a very friendly and down to earth group of people. Any coach would want the other two boys in their wrestling room. Hopefully they will be wearing blue and white in the future!

Nick's dad gave me an update that pretty much corroborates the posts above. However, one thing to keep in mind, regardless of what the doctors say or how Nick feels, Cael will have the final say on whether he is permitted to wrestle. My impression of Cael is that unless he is absolutely certain everything is OK, he will not jeopardize the future of a wrestler even if it means potentially losing the championship title.

Fortunately, this team is strong enough that they have a very good chance to win the title with the current lineup. The polls seem to agree too.
