When I first read about NIL being allowed - I thought this kind of thing would be the bulk of it with local businesses giving players a few grand to do something that drives some business to them. Maybe free food/car/services from that business. It seems like there are personal appearances, golf tournaments, social media posts, but obviously, NIL has become something completely different (please start a new thread if you want to go in that direction).
I don't own a business. Does this seem like local businesses can get their money's worth from this sort of thing?
