Hey, I'm not telling you who to root for. There is a "fake tough guy" that exists with him and his teammates and I loathe that about some NJans.. I've lived here for 23 years and just roll my eyes and laugh. They have no idea how stupid it is.

I think it’s more that they seem to think they have to continuously validate their toughness. Hey, you’re tough. We get it. But no no... they think we don’t get it... so they have to be even tougher. Imo, RU embarrassed themselves yesterday with all their “Grit”. Right down to their homer beat writer.
If only he'd arrived on the beat FORTY NINE YEARS earlier, he could have been there to witness the last time a Rutgers team in any sport won an NCAA championship.
And they changed the rule that off-season to make that move (referred to in the rulebook as an intentional drill) an automatic flagrant misconduct. (they also required it be video reviewed with the same rule change)
Zane is the most unassuming tough guy I’ve ever met. Had I not known who he was and watched him do his work I may have took him for a saxophone player in the marching band.
Oh and before someone says it, yes...I’m sure there are some bad ass saxophone players out there...
And, then there's always the, "One time, at band camp. ." aspect of being in the band.
He may be tough on the mat but that's where it ends, as it should because he's "supposedly" a student representing his university. Off the mat? Pfft. He wouldn't even do that on twitter to a real thug, trust and believe that. They don't play fight on twitter my friend.
