I imagine they save a lot of money. Social Security probably covers most of their scholarship costs and medical expenses are picked up by Medicare.
Don't forget the AARP discounts on airfare and lodging, plus the cases of post-match Ensure.
David Taylor was not an Iowa State transfer. He originally committed to ISU but changed his commitment (and was granted his release) when Cael took the PSU job. Taylor was never enrolled in ISU.
I had the same reaction. It is remarkable when star wrestlers coming to NLWC from other elite programs describe Cael & Co as "the best coaching staff in the country" and "just amazing." It sure lends credence to the view that there is something fundamentally different and next level about how things are done at PSU.
One thing is certain--the clamor to eliminate or hinder RTCs is likely to crescendo.
John Smith’s first order of business re: RTCs is to fire Daton’s father. Probably more productive than whining about funding disparities
It seemed so weird to me that Smith was calling the Gilman Colon semi on NBCSN while Daton was wrestling Vito.
