What do people think? I think that this match will only serve to illustrate just how far the gap is between Nolf and the rest of 157.

I'm calling a Tech Fall at least, with a pin a real possibility.

What do others think?

Roar lions roar!

Pain, suffering, humiliation and tech fall if Nolf is like a cat playing with wounded mouse and runs out of time for the pin.

Saw Berger almost lose to a true freshman earlier this year. Nolf will destroy him.

Nolf destroyed Short.
Nolf destroyed Berger last year.

What is anyone else seeing to think Berger can hang with Nolf this year ?

Nolf did get caught and thrown by that one kid at the Keystone. To have a chance, Berger is gonna have to look for something like that.

I don't think anyone or anything is slowing down Jason Nolf for 7 mins this year.

He has the demeanor of an assassin, consistently.

He just doesn't care who the opponent is.

Normally, I would root for a close match. However, I am rooting for total domination...getting ahead by 14, Nolf looks like he is going to TF him but quickly puts him on his back for a pin.

BTW, I don't really have an issue with Berger...it's Manning that is a pain in the ass.

Really? That's your little pen pal.

Nolf has widened the gap on Berger since high school. They wrestled at the DD and then again last year with Jason wiping the mat with him.

It's only going to be worse this time. Berger is a good wrestler, there's no doubt about that, but he's not anywhere near the level of Jason Nolf. Nobody at 157lbs is this year, and only IMar was last year.

Picked a Major, but changed it to a Tech Fall. Every bout is different, and if guys wrestled 20 times, there'd be a range of results. Odds-wise, my thinking is a Fall is more likely than a Tech Fall, but I'm going with a Tech at their place. A Major wouldn't surprise...my recollection of last year's bout was a Tech Fall in 7:00, when Jason had him on his back at the very end.

We'll get to hear if Manning can whine and make excuses better than Eggum. Would have thought Eggum would man up more - although he probably sees his program for the sinking ship it is with the "rats" starting to look for land elsewhere. I can understand the likes of Manning and Ryan whining like little beeeeches.

Say what you will about the Brands' antics but at least they man up after a loss and don't make lame excuses.

50/50 on whether we see him again. Heard he was three pounds over night before Scuffle when they called it...he was done.
CP said on FRL that Palacio was 5 over 157 the day of weigh ins, then they tried to play it off at the last minute like he was registered for 165 the whole time, but the scuffle people wouldn't let him switch last minute.

3 pounds, and he's 2 weeks from wrestling at 157 again, per descent rules.
5 pounds, and he's 3 weeks.
If he's not there (157) by February 15, by rule he can't go 157 this year.

Palacio will be at 157.

If he was 5 over on day of weigh ins, which is entirely possible, then he didn't officially weigh in. Not if he plans to wrestle Friday @157. He could wrestle Sat v Missouri with the extra lb.

This is a good point. My post was presuming there was an official weigh-in.
