Still looking to connect with Indianapolis-area prospects David Bell and Cole Brevard coming off their junior day visits to Penn State, but in the meantime wanted to drop a note about Oak Park, Mich. 2020 CB Enzo Jennings. I have actually known Jennings since he was in the 8th grade. He was an early bloomer and continues to be among the top 2020 prospects in the Midwest.
Even though he is already 6-2, Jennings can, and I expect will, play cornerback in college... and this is coming from someone who thinks tall cornerbacks are overrated. Taller CBs tend to be stiffer, but Jennings has that rare fluidity/height combination that every college coach is trying to get. He also has a great feel for the position and showed impressive playmaking ability for a sophomore. The physical tools are well on the plus side of the ledger and so are the intangibles. We will likely start talking an early Rivals100 for 2020 in a couple months and Enzo is a guy I plan on bringing up in that discussion.
So, definitely a good sign that Penn State was able to get him on campus early and they will want to stay front and center in his recruitment because he will be a nationally recruited kid. His teammate and classmate, Justin Rogers, has a few more offers now and will also be a guy I will discuss in that 2020 Rivals100 meeting, but two years from now if I had to bet who would be ranked higher it would be Enzo. Both are outstanding talents, but Enzo has the higher upside.
