Cass gave it away at the end. Why take a lazy shot there? Make Parris earn it.
Kerk did the same thing when he lost to him.Cass gave it away at the end. Why take a lazy shot there? Make Parris earn it.
So you are saying Lewan is a backup? .............I am starting to agreeNights like this are bad for the sport. Two premier programs and one team just decides to wrestle backups?
Who was the home team again???1st period. Parris vs Cassioppi. Parris gets first TD. After 2 secs of riding time - 2 seconds - ref calls a stalemate?
Lol. Just finished watching it. 3rd period had a lot of “Tony… Tony… Tony…” chants… and then “Boo!” when he gets ridden out.Who was the home team again???
I was confused by that call.1st period. Parris vs Cassioppi. Parris gets first TD. After 2 secs of riding time - 2 seconds - ref calls a stalemate?
On the other hand, the stalemate seemed to save Parris a potential stall call for hanging out below the knee without improving.Who was the home team again???
But it was 2 seconds. He didn’t get the chance to let go / move up.On the other hand, the stalemate seemed to save Parris a potential stall call for hanging out below the knee without improving.
Exactly ... he didn't seem to attempt to, and Cassioppi seemed to be holding him back. But it was 2 seconds. He didn’t get the chance to let go / move up.
That's 14 seconds in Carver years. But it was 2 seconds. He didn’t get the chance to let go / move up.
Dislocated his finger in his last match although he finished the match. Prol more precautionary than anything. he should be fine.Romero must be hurt fairly bad. It was senior night tonight and I would think that he would’ve wrestled if he was just a bit banged up. Anyone hear anything about his injury?
It happened in his match against Brooks on Feb 3. Looked like it happened when his finger contacted the Resilite. The finger was clearly not in its normal position and was just ugly looking.Dislocated his finger in his last match although he finished the match. Prol more precautionary than anything. he should be fine.
A couple weeks ago I mentioned that he had beaten RBY and Spencer, and ask what does that say about how good Nick Lee is. Those others just add fuel to the question.SeaBass was a 5x AA with two 3rds, a 4th and a 6th place finish. Has to be one of the best to never win an NCAA Championship with this scalp list:
RBY
Spencer Lee
Seth Gross
Pat Glory
Real Woods
Vitali Arujau
Glory was called for stalling three times in the third period against Penn's Ryan Miller yesterday, and was ridden out (IIRC) in that period. Won 9-6.I do think Glory can beat him. Get out of 2nd within 3-4 into the 3rd & attack relentlessly. Make him work hard the 1st two periods. Not confident enough to lay money on it however.
Romero was clearly limping after the match.Dislocated his finger in his last match although he finished the match. Prol more precautionary than anything. he should be fine.
Also beat Moisey, though a lot of people did that too.SeaBass was a 5x AA with two 3rds, a 4th and a 6th place finish. Has to be one of the best to never win an NCAA Championship with this scalp list:

Yep. Having to go up to 133 then back down to 125 doesn't instill confidence. He may be just as gassed as Spencer if it gets to the third. Heck, I don't even think he is a shoe in for the finals.Glory was called for stalling three times in the third period against Penn's Ryan Miller yesterday, and was ridden out (IIRC) in that period. Anyone want to see the Alton-Grajales match in the national finals?Yep. Having to go up to 133 then back down to 125 doesn't instill confidence. He may be just as gassed as Spencer if it gets to the third. Heck, I don't even think he is a shoe in for the finals.
I think it’s a weight cut issue with him. If he makes the national finals he would have all day to rehydrate and get himself well. Getting to the finals though is going to be a bitch with how he is wrestling straight off the scalesGlory was called for stalling three times in the third period against Penn's Ryan Miller yesterday, and was ridden out (IIRC) in that period. True, though that also requires somebody capable of beating him, and after he handled Courtney, IDK who that would be.I think it’s a weight cut issue with him. For sure. If he can make the finals I can definitely see it being his best match just because he has all day to recover. Probably not good enough to beat Spencer but a fully fed and hydrated Glory has the best chance of anyoneTrue, though that also requires somebody capable of beating him, and after he handled Courtney, IDK who that would be.
I could see him scraping by a couple matches, and then having his best match in the finals. Whether or not that would be enough to beat Lee, probably not but who knows.
Only Pitt takes a sure fire AA and redshirts him last second
Damn. Wonder why now?
Who knows its Pitt. Hell...it takes 2 years just to wash the Pitt off of any transfer from there.Damn. Wonder why now?
Probably the plan all along I guess. He sure shakes up the heavyweights minus the big 4.Who knows its Pitt. Hell...it takes 2 years just to wash the Pitt off of any transfer from there.
With Mendez in the lineup, they will be able to battle Nebraska for 3rdWhy wouldnt they shirt Jesse at 133? Set themselves up for a run
He is good.but he was not a sure fire AA this year. Probably made the decision after he lost his last 2 bouts.Only Pitt takes a sure fire AA and redshirts him last second
well Kerk did the same taking a weak shot!Cass gave it away at the end. Why take a lazy shot there? Make Parris earn it.
Wait, piledrivers are illegal?!? Who knew?
I wrestled an AA when I was a sophomore. He was one of these overly-aggressive guys with wild eyes. First thing he did was grab my hand and pull my finger out of joint. It was pointing off in a wild angle. My trainer said, "No problem" and popped it back in place and sent me back out. I wanted no more of the guy and he beat me easily. I think it was the only bout in my life I lost by more than 3 points and several of the points were stalling.Dislocated his finger in his last match although he finished the match. Prol more precautionary than anything. he should be fine.
Yep. A similar thing with me against this kid from the now defunct high school of Bald Eagle Nittany..kid was an animal and the only time I got pinned...the following year I realized he only had 2 actual moves and never stopped charging me...a few hiccups in the 2nd avoiding his cradle but my duck and ankle pick was on that night and I got him 8-5. But MAN those kids up there in that Lock Haven area back in the day were nothing nice 😆 🤣I wrestled an AA when I was a sophomore. He was one of these overly-aggressive guys with wild eyes. The next year the guy was back coaching that team. He obviously remembered me, because his kid comes out against me with wild eyes and crazy aggressiveness. I turned to his coach and said, "Not two years in a row!" and beat the kid 23-0.
lots of weight cutting I don't think extra time helps that much still losing a lot of weight is not good!I think it’s a weight cut issue with him. i'm not even sure it was a shot. parris faked him out of his shoes and he kind of lunged at the leg as he was going down. he was totally gassed.Cass gave it away at the end. Why take a lazy shot there? Make Parris earn it.
