Time to involve The idiot extraordinaire David Clohessy of the ‘Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests’. Maybe he could manage a way to drag PSU and JoePa into an article concerning Notre Dame.
Wait a damn minute here! Mennonites are in Pennsylvania AND Penn State is in Pennsylvania. Penn State played football during that time AND Joe Paterno was the head coach. Does anyone else see a disturbing cultural problem developing here?

It's a "personnel matter" is clearly the correct answer to any of these cases. You don't fire people, like idiots. You don't make comments, like idiots. You say it's a personnel matter and avoid everything. Otherwise it costs you half of a billion dollars. Good move penn state. You're the model of how not to act.

Wow! I have been mad at John Howard Yoder for 35 years without even knowing anything about this. He spoke at my sister's commencement from Eastern Mennonite College (now University) in what must have been about 1980. His commencement address rambled on for 3.5 hours in the rain for an outdoor ceremony. My memory was so strong that I asked my mother about it a few years ago to see if I had exaggerated the length of the speech in my mind. She verified how long he went on and then told me his name -- John Yoder, on the faculty of Notre Dame. She is still mad too..... Wow, just WOW!
