Now will you finally lay off on HCJF?

Look how long it took HCJH to finally Wolverines > tOSU.
They were asking for his head until then.
You just have to be patient 👍
Next year is year 10, and few coaches in today’s game get that much leash. And the PAC10 was actually garbage, so this is simply a now 4 loss team that he should have beaten. Nice win, but doesn't really change the underlying issues.

The true underlying issues are clown posts like this. Did you have PSU handling Utah before the game? Truly pathetic.

Of course not... it goes with the territory. Next year they will be very highly thought of going into the season but it will come down to O$U and scUM, once again. Tough road slat at Illinois, O$U, Md, and M$U.

What will you say when Lions > Wolverines &/or tOSU in '23?
I’ll say “it’s about damn time!”. The Rose Bowl was a great win- I watched every second of it, and PSU deserved that win with a very good performance. Kudos to Coach Franklin, S. Clifford, and the team.

That being said, a non-playoff bowl win does not, and can not, make up for 4-14 vs UM and OSU and 1 conference title in 9 seasons. And you Franklin apologists know it.

Improve, and drastically, 4-14 and Franklin will actually deserve all the compliments he’s now getting.

Look, I'm a big Franklin critic. Until he consistently is beating at least 1 of the 2 anointed ones, and until he wins a few Bigs and gets to the CFP, he has underachieved. Yet, you have to give credit where due.

Psu just beat the Pac-12 champion, who beat USC twice.....a team considered 1 win away from CFP. Psu also had OSU with 7 mins left.

A Big champ, 2 Roses, 1 Fiesta, 1 Cotton. 1 Citrus.

What more could you ask for when the entire world was burning the program down?

JF def needs to take next step with Allar and RBs next year, but this year was about as good as it could have been, save for OSU late let down.

The talking heads said it at one point yesterday. PSU hasn't had a QB drafted in first round since 95. Hopefully Allar will change that.

The last time a thread like this emerged was probably in 2016. That was six years ago.

Was very proud that JF is coach as i saw what was said about the team and individuals on it. The man cares about the kids, he wants to do things the right way, leaving better men for having gone thru the program. It's the Penn State way and he exemplifies it. The man can recruit, I could only imagine what this team could do in the next 10 years if we could keep the OC and DC in place. His Achilles has been player development on the field and game day scheming and adjusting. Both of which peak when you have coaching stability

”Few coaches in today’s game get that much leash”…. Seriously?—- Zero coaches had to deal with the effects of post 2011 sanctions/scholarship gutting and ridiculously destructive narrative (for years) . Yet he perseveres and wins the BIG within 2-3 years of arrival ( without many scholarship OL and decreased scholarship LB), wins 11 games 3 times ( 40 games in 4 years…16-19), 11 games this year ( with a ridiculously loaded young team ready for next year). If you want to focus on a very badly managed ( by the BIG) Covid year and a subsequent critical injury ( Clifford/Mustipher) year…..feel free to be stupid. —Franklin has some things to work on, but in the environment of today’s “constant moving parts” football, few are doing better.
