Bates leaving the game with a knee was key. He tried to come back. Wright and Fries were overmatched, but the bizarre playcalls on that last drive did not help. Why try to get 20 yards off of a deep route when you have almost 2 minutes and 3 TO’s with good field position ?

agree. play calling was terrible all game long. hard to believe these were the same guys that had such a great game plan last week. could have had gesicki 8-10 yds down field all night. rose bowl all over again. quit trying to do anytning.
