I’ve heard so many different things about it, but I am excited about the Breaking Bad movie. I can’t wait to see it…I don’t know what people know and don’t know," he toldThe Hollywood Reporter. "I find it hard to believe you don’t know it was shot. They did it. You know what I mean? How is that a secret? But it is. They’ve done an amazing job of keeping it a secret.”

Cranston and Paul are really chummy (think they started a tequila company together) so this isn’t that surprising. It is really exciting but they really have to nail it; a bad movie could ruin a hard earned legacy as one of the best shows/endings ever.

Police revive Walt from the redneck lab and he goes to jail where he then begins his inside empire with Pinkman on the outside....eventually Saul comes back from Nebraska and joins up with Pinkman....although a new villian would have to emerge because all the others are dead.

Doesn't sound right. Why would they go through the trouble of keeping it so secret only to have odenkirk nonchalantly spill the beans?

And where does Gilligan have the time for this with better call Paul being produced?

Now if they could just film the new season of Better Call Saul.

The waiting is the hardest part...
apparently, it (the release) got pushed back to the first half of 2020 due to scheduling conflicts of their ample cast.

Not just how it ended, but even the final shot song choice. “Baby Blue” with the opening line of “I guess I got what I deserved”
tangentially, I was just told a story about Toby Keith and Clint Eastwood. Apparently, they met and Toby asked Eastwood how old he was. Clint said 87 or whatever. and he is making a new movie named "The Mule". Toby asked him what his secret is to staying young and vital. Clint says "don't let the old man in".

Weeks later, Toby sends Clint a note with a demo tape. The line "Don't Let the Old Man In" inspired him and he wrote a song....the demo is on the tape. Clint calls back and says he wants to use it in the movie. Toby says he'll get started right away to record a final version. Clint says "no, I'll use the demo". so the last song in the movie "The Mule" is "Don't Let the Old Man In".

I saw some sort of comment that says watching "The Fly" episode again prior to watching El Camino will be very helpful. I barely remember that episode, so I suppose I'll head to Netflix (or wherever I can stream it) and watch it again.

That was the one where Walt obsesses over a single fly in the lab, correct?

Read up if you'd like. Pretty interesting

I remembered little about that episode and reading that reminded me why. I found it a bit of out of character for Walt and a bit boring. There was little content in that episode, I'm not sure what details from it would be important for the movie but then again, this is Vince Gilligan we're talking about.

The next show was Abiquiu. It has a bit of the continuation of Jesse skimming and has Badger and Skinny Pete there. Might be the tie in. Portion from Wikipedia below

"Meanwhile, Walt warns Jesse about skimming some of their meth product, which he continues to deny doing. Jesse takes what he has stolen to a Narcotics Anonymous meeting to give to Badger and Skinny Pete to help peddle. The two reveal they can't bring themselves to sell meth to recovering addicts, so Jesse shows them how easy it is by striking up a conversation with Andrea, a newcomer to the meetings. He soon becomes attached to Andrea while surreptitiously attempting to sell her product. Andrea invites him to her home, where Jesse discovers she has a son, Brock. From him, Jesse learns Andrea has a younger brother named Tomás, although she initially refuses to talk about him. Later, Andrea suggests they use meth, but Jesse declines now that he knows she has a child, and the two argue. Andrea insists she wants to avoid having Brock suffer from the same fate as Tomás, who, as part of an initiation to a local drug gang, shot a rival dealer at a street corner. Jesse recognizes the murder is similar to that of Combo a few months prior."
