It’s time to shake off the embarrassment of last weeks picks, especially if you thought the game would be close or even worse, thought we’d lose to Maryland. Remember, you’re never as good as you think you are when you call it correctly (or really close) and you’re not as bad as you look when you make a dumbass pick (tic). It’s time to get back out there and give your expert prediction for the homecoming game versus the Boilermakers of Purdue.
Purdue’s top two players were injured last week in their loss to Minnesota and I can’t imagine things are going to get any better for them this week against the Nittany Lions. Remember, our guys will bbe donning the alternate unis and that, alone, will give the team an extra spark. Add to that a group that I believe will want to build upon what they did last Friday night and I’m expecting another big victory this upcoming Saturday, even if it is a noon start. Oh, I know, we usually start off slow when we begin at 12 pm but ya know, this is the year to change the trends… like how we often performed coming off a bye- how’d that work out for the Terrapins last week?
Here’s my bold predictions, although I don’t know how bold they are given the opponent-- Clifford will throw for more than 300 yards once again and the Nittany Lions will build a significant lead before the half. Just like last week, the team will cruise through the second half to a relatively easy victory. The defense will score this week and offensively, we’ll run for more than 250 yards as a team.
Final score will be Penn State 56 Purdue 7.
Now it’s your turn to make your fearless predictions, what are the rest of you expecting this week? Don’t be shy, put it out there (@lionlover, I just gave you a softball) and stand tall, even if the final score isn’t even close to what you expect. Last week we had 8 “dumbasses”, will any of you take that chance this week? @AngryOtter42, will you return to your predictable predictions this week? Let's go guys, turnout last week was minimal-- probably because many did not know what to expect, but things are a little bit clearer this week so take a chance... and yes, we'll make fun of you next week if you're way off LOL.
WE ARE!
