Last season, Oklahoma finished 25th (18.5 points) at the NCAA Championship which was a considerable improvement over the 1 point they collected in 2018. The Sooners placed 4th out of 12 at the Big 12 Championship, qualifying four wrestlers into the NCAAs with another getting an at-large bid. They finished 22nd at Cliff Keen and 5th at the Journeyman Collegiate Classic. Oklahoma went 10-6 in duals with losses to Pitt, OSU, ASU, UNI, ISU and Lehigh. Their biggest victory was a rematch against Arizona State to take 3rd place at the Virginia Duals.

This season, Oklahoma will be returning to the Michigan State Open, Journeyman and Cliff Keen. They will also be attending the South Beach Duals instead of the Virginia Duals. Outside of the South Beach Duals, they have a pretty weak out of conference dual schedule with Ohio, Kent State and Michigan State. The Sooners return four of their five qualifiers, including their lone AA, and should be improved at a few weights. It's a young team with another very good recruiting class coming in.

125
Christian Moody (Sr) <Collinsville, OK>

Moody returns for the final season with the Sooners looking to qualify for the NCAA Championship for a 4th time. Last season, he placed 4th at the Big 10 Championship and received the 29 seed at the NCAAs going 0-2. He had a 13-11 season record. <Bonus: 16.7%, RPI: .570>

133
Anthony Madrigal (So) <Oak Park-River Forest, IL>

Madrigal started as a true freshman last season going 15-16. He went 2-2 and didn’t place at the Big 12 Championship (5 allocations). Madrigal’s biggest win of the season came against 3x NCAA qualifier, Cam Sykora (NDSU). <Bonus: 19.4%, RPI: .557>

141
Dom Demas (So) <Dublin Coffman, OH>

Dom Demas enters the season as the highest finishing returning wrestler at 141 with Yianni and Eierman out with Olympic redshirts and McKenna graduating. Last season, Demas won the Big 12 Championship and entered the NCAA Championship as the 9 seed. Demas placed 4th last season after upsetting Nick Lee in the wrestleback semis. <Bonus: 34.9%, RPI: .668>

149
Jacob Butler (Fr) <Elgin, OK>
Zackery Zeamer (Fr) <Manheim Central, PA>

Zeamer went 12-14 during his redshirt season with no wins against D1 wrestlers with winning records. Butler didn’t wrestle any matches during his redshirt year. He was a three-time Oklahoma high school state champion.

Last season, Davion Jeffries qualified for the NCAA Championship a 4th time. He placed 3rd at the Big 12 Championship and went 1-2 at the NCAA Championship from the 16 seed.

157
Justin Thomas (Jr) <Calvary Chapel, CA>

Thomas is looking to build upon a solid last season where he qualified for the NCAAs for the first time. Thomas got an at-large bid to the NCAA Championship after finishing 2nd at the Big 12 Championship (the Big 12 only had one automatic allocation). He was the 21 seed at the NCAAs but made it to the Round of 12 where he lost a close match to Larry Early (ODU). Thomas’s record was 23-11. <Bonus: 11.8%, RPI: .630>

165
Jeremy Thomas (Jr) <Calvary Chapel, CA>

Thomas went 10-13 and 0-2 at the Big 12 Championship in his first season as a starter. His best win of the season came against NCAA qualifier, Josh McClure (UNC). <Bonus: 8.7%, RPI: .540>

174
Anthony Mantanona (So) <Palm Desert, CA>

Mantanona was also a first year starter last season and went 15-16. He was 2-2 and didn’t place at the Big 12 Championship. <Bonus: 29.3%, RPI: .575>

184
Brett Campbell (Fr) <Summit Christian, MO>
Darrien Roberts (Fr) <Wyoming Seminary, PA>

Campbell didn’t wrestle as a redshirt last season. He was a two-time Missouri Class 1 undefeated state champion in 2017 (@182) and 2018 (@220).
Roberts was the 2018 Ironman champion at 182 and a two-time Pennsylvania Independent Schools state champion. He’s ranked #12 at 182 by InterMat.

In his final season at Oklahoma, Kayne MacCallum was unable to qualify for the NCAA Championship for a second time after going 1-2 in the Big 12 Championship (15-15 overall).

197
Jake Woodley (So) <North Allegheny, PA>

Watch out for Woodley to be Oklahoma’s most improved wrestler this season. In his first season as a starter he went 22-10 and defeated eventual AA, Josh Hokit for 3rd place at the Big 12 Championship. Woodley had a disappointing NCAA Championship where he went 1-2 from the 18 seed. <Bonus: 18.8%, RPI: .624>

Heavy
Josiah Jones (Fr) <Bishop McCort, PA>
Josh Heindselman (Fr) <Piedmont, OK>
Jake Boyd (So) <Smithville, MO>

Jones was a two-time PIAA (AA) runner-up and 220 in 2016 and 2017 and placed 3rd @285 in 2018.

Heindselman appears to have a shot at starting as a true freshman for Oklahoma. He is a two-time Oklahoma 5A state champion in 2018 and 2019 and a runner-up in 2017. Heindselman is ranked #13 at 285 by InterMat.

After a promising looking redshirt year @197 in 17/18, Boyd had a rough season at heavyweight in 18/19. He went 9-22 overall and 0-2 in the Big 12 Championship. <Bonus: 6.5%, RPI: .498>

They must be feeling better about themselves, they decided to wrestle the traditional home and home with us after only having one dual the last couple of years. That good feeling probably won't last long, though.

Jones left school during his first semester and returned home to Johnstown. Did he return to campus?

Also, Demas should improve with Frank Molinaro as a training partner. Really looking forward to a Demas-Lee national final (assuming Gross doesn't go 141 for Wisconsin).

Rivera might also be all the way up to 141 too.

I couldn't find any definitive info on Jones.
