OLine type preferred by CJF and PSU

I was looking at the OL player M Johnson who is leaving OSU and Johncarlo Valentin who is very similar is height and weight. Both are close to 350LBS and neither had/has a PSU offer although highly rated.
Some of PSU's biggest busts were really hugh/heavy O-line men in high school who just didn't develop.
I think I like the tall 270LB. TE/Basketball type that grow to 300LBS. Of course we will miss out on a few but I think CJF in on to something here.

Almost all the lineman brought in by Franklin are tall lanky guys. Even Jenkins who is well over 300 lbs looks pretty thin for his size. Franklin clearly has a body type in mind with the guys he is bringing in.

IMO, D'Brickashaw Ferguson is the prototype for that type of OL. Entered UVA at 6'6" 260 lb and reached 245 during first season. Three time all pro with the Jets playing at 300-310. Agile and balanced enough to earn a Black Belt in Karate and he has an 87" wingspan.

That's why I have high hopes for Gellerstadt>>fits the size profile.
Also think if PSU takes another OL guy it will be someone like Boudreaux, D Hamilton, Niang or Adams.

I agree with your comments. Having said that, Johncarlo Valentin was on some of the same video that Menet was on and besides Menet, he looked like the only other one that handled Gary. Kid looks like a stud.
