OMG - Linda Cohn is disgusted

If any of you had a a non biased thought process you would know this isn't the best decision. Once again, all of you older PSU fans think I'm wrong based on your clouded judgments but the reality of if is no one cares about Joe pa anymore but the older PSU generation.
Let's talk about non-biased thought processes. I don't think you could be more non-biased than not being affiliated with the University in any way, which would include several people like me who are allowed to post on this board.

The worst decision ever made in the history of your University was by the #OGBOT being so ridiculously self-centered as to arrange an 8.5 million dollar boondoggle to offer up a few heads on a platter to cover their own behinds, providing an escape hatch for the Second Mile. They chose the wrong heads, everyone knows it, and they've been paying the piper ever since. It's at the point now where they are trying to pass part of the mega-million-dollar losses to students in the form of a tuition increase.

Read this report, if you can take the time to be bothered with it:

http://www.paterno.com/Expert-Reports/Jim-Clemente.aspx#.V89YCP9TFhE

Regardless of what a clickbait yellow press eagerly reports or an indifferent public and undergraduate student body, apparently including yourself, choose to believe, Joe Paterno had no idea that Jerry Sandusky is a pedophile. The individual who authored the report has impeccable personal and professional credentials to address his topic, and is himself a molestation victim as a child who, as an adult prosecutor, charged and sent to prison the individual who molested him. He is the very last person on the face of planet Earth who would cut any slack whatsoever to anyone who he believed had aided or abetted pedophilia. He is not a football fan and had never met any member of the Paterno family prior to being contacted by the King and Spalding Law Firm, representing the Paterno's, with a request to review the Freeh Report and comment upon it following any personal investigation he might care to undertake. If you're interested enough to listen to his bio, you'll learn that at first he refused, assuming the report done by his former boss Louis Freeh, for which PSU paid somewhere in the neighborhood of $8M, was valid and complete. Fortunately King and Spalding persisted and, after reviewing the report as it pertained to Joe Paterno's actions in the Sandusky debacle, he realized just how grossly unsupported and wrong its conclusions are. Since he has chosen to make public education on pedophiles and their methods of operation a significant part of his life's work, he was then willing to undertake his own review.

The report he produced following that review speaks for itself.

It's one big reason why, yellow press, ignorant public, corrupt, self-serving OGBOT leadership and a student-body-which-can-no-longer-be-bothered all be dam!#ed, an "older PSU generation" which, unlike the current one, can know from living memory exactly what Penn State was before Joe Paterno arrived and what it was when he left it, and well understands that he did more than any other single human being to put PSU on the national map for all the right reasons, and whoever's second isn't close -- isn't about to move on any time soon. And, oh yeah, also believes this 50th-anniversary lip service, or whatever is supposed to happen when Temple comes to town, isn't even the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the University's honoring Joe Paterno in a fashion commensurate with his service.

Why? Because she disagreed with your biased opinion and that all of American feels the same way as her????
Non-sequitur. Not sure who "all of American" is, but all intelligent Americans who care about the ramifications of this grand scheme to divert attention from Child Welfare Agency issues arising from the Sandusky case don't fall for media madness and base their opinions on "feelings" rather than facts. #KidsMatter and it's just wrong to go after those who did the right things while ignoring those who did the wrong things.

What is up with all the physical appearance-bashing? Total distraction from the point that someone's brain isn't functioning quite as well as it could if they bothered to do some research before spouting off.
My post want about her physical appearance, it was about what she wants you to think her physical appearance is. Talk about a sexual predator! And this wasn't some random pic, it's is the photo she chose for her Twitter signature pick.

I'm curious, Nellie, partly because I am, like you, an alum of a school other than PSU, but post here frequently. Where DID you go to school?

I have watched and listened to ESPN on and off for a number of years and have NEVER heard a word she has to say on anything.
Apparently she had some serious issues as a child, no REALLY.

You're a tool. You obviously have no idea how old we are.

And you wondered yesterday why you had been banned. Idiot.

On the Ignore List you go.

Nellie earned her degrees at the University of Illinois and Fresno State University. Might also have some University of Texas-Austin in there somewhere. We are damn lucky to have her on our side, as are children everywhere.

Illinois, (where I lambasted the Poach Coach who is now finally gone and 3 years later I can watch their team again, yes I boycotted my alma over this) , and UT-Dallas for MBA, in the state Second Mile tried to slip out the back door to with $2M and faulty child programs in 04/2012, before the Sandusky trial commenced.

Close! I am only a Fresno State fan because of a previous AD whom I had known once long ago to be a person of character went in there and cleaned up the real problems (as opposed to these manufactured ones at PSU) existing in their AD. As displayed in the Nebraska game during the Missing Man punt formation and penalty decline, those positive effects still linger in the last Head Football Coach he hired before leaving.

Starts at the 4 minute mark:

Illinois alum here (and, of course, Penn State).

I've boycotted Illinois since that jackass tried to poach Penn State players.

Let's see plastic face, plastic boobs, man arms, and no brains, that about sums it up.

LOL...here is her twitter pic:

Look, discussion the writer's arguments (or lack thereof) is fair game.

Critiquing the writer on the basis of physical characteristics, etc.??

To me, that's out of bounds. We should stay classy. It's also an ad hominem attack, which is a logical fallacy and unworthy of any serious discussion or debate.

Sorry can't agree. It's not what she looks like but what she is trying to portray. This is the photo SHE chose as her Twitter sig pic. If it was just your run of the mill photo I'd agree.

I'm giving them a little rope (Josh Whitman and Lovie) since the person with the questionable ethics is gone, new AD, new Coach, and hopefully a new Chancellor. They are on probation with me until I see the full package:Results in the classroom, on the field, and in the community.

And now this.... You are blocked from following @lindacohn and viewing @lindacohn's Tweets. I certainly didn't try to follow her. All I tweeted was; Linda you disgust me, and compared her to Skip Bayless. Maybe she is mad that Skip moved on to a good job and left her with the idiots at ESPN.

Obli, I'll give you that one. But many of the other comments were really out of line.

Maybe...but I don't care. As you get older, you realize the benefits of virtue. You get pushed around until you decide to push back. You make your value decisions and decide when it is finally time to put a stake in the ground and push back. Honestly, I have little regard for University leadership until the BOT is gone and they've made an official appology to Sue and the family. I continue to support the football team because they are not at fault and have to fight through this adversity.

Young people still think the media is legit too. They are very naive, but are too young to realize it. The older you get the more you realize you knew nothing in you 20's.

I did mention that she has a long face like a horse. Would that have been okay if it were a man?

If a person has a long nose is it okay to say to that person, "You could eat a hoagie in the rain." Either gender?

I did not like bmw199's reference to her private neighborhood and conjectured sexual promiscuity. I guess my remark was uncalled for as well. However, I don't think Cohn knows what she's talking about regarding Joe, so I view the remark as malicious, evil, ignorant and self-serving. She deserves insults, perhaps not personal ones. But, we are weak from Joe bashing and she's such an easy target.

Oh, Linda Cohn also has grandma bingo arms. When she yells bingo, her arm flesh flaps back and forth. :p

I know people who are 30 who feel Joe and the Paterno family got a raw deal.

Boo Hoo... She's knowingly spreading lies. What I said wasn't a lie; see: Ricky Williams Re: Christmas Party. It certainly was ad hominem and was intended to be. I take the high road 999 out of a 1,000, this time I don't feel like it. If it were a dude and I knew a nasty story about his past behavior I would have gone with it there. BTW bringing up Bernie Fine is also a fallacy: Tu quoque.

I used to think Penn State fans were better than that. Guess not.

I wonder what she is actually disgusted about. It's fun to throw out declarative words like "disgusted" and "outraged". But you should then, as a member of the media, have to explain exactly was is making you disgusted. But she won't because the basis for her disgust would be too easily proven to be a false one.

You realize the irony of calling everyone on this board wrong because of your perceived age bias? I'm guessing not.

Why? Because she disagreed with your biased opinion and that all of American feels the same way as her????

Sure our opinion is biased, by the truth. There are many people out there that hate PSU so much that they are blinded to the truth, they will believe whatever the want. There is no way all of America feels the same way as her, how would you know anyway... you're still in high school. I travel all the time for work and hear often that people support Paterno and are sick about what the media did to him. Sure there are idiots out there, mostly 15 and under kids like you, that don't know the facts, but that is never going to change.

Agreed.

You all proclaim that you don't care what the public thinks when you talk about honoring Joe, but then when the public reacts negatively, you lose your collective minds.

I get it. They keep poking at sores. Tiresome, especially since they are uninformed yet so falsely righteous in their comments. I hate them all.
