On a slow day how about a question? Who's been a member of this board the longest. I joined

If I remember correctly, I started with plotit the year we were recruiting Lavar & co. At one point, I switched ISPs and screwed up my account, but I have been Oakton Dave or OaktonDave the whole time. Seeing the old site brought back memories; it was like hanging out at a Penn State football bar - everybody "knew" everybody and the conversation was always good.

Thanks to Mary Anne's wayback machine, I'm reminded that I apparently posted on my 31st birthday...

I go back aways, and there was a time that Marsh Creek was a really good poster. His insight was very good and he took a lot of time with weekly reports. I don't understand how the Devlin thing changed him but that was sad. Kasandro had the best exotic lady pics ever, I have no idea how he found
them...tasteful and elegant. Now... how did not anyone mention Bayline? Bayline was an absolute classic!

I originally started posting on the old PA Preps Board in '99. Can't remember if that goofball Gorden Blaine was running the site or not, never cared for that guy. All I know is CB-West was going for their 3rd straight championship. The banter was leading into the east final between CBW and Bethlehem Catholic at Lehigh's Goodman Stadium. That is still the best atmosphere I've ever witnessed for a high school game. 15,000 people and the PIAA had one ticket booth open, so typical. Many fans did not get in until the first quarter was over.

I didn't discover BWI until 2002. I remember posting Ben Luber updates because I saw most of his games at CR-North his senior year. My stepdaughter graduated with him in '03.

not enough love for the DreamBackfield posts on that wayback machine!

I had posted a while back about how my son found the plotit.com board during a rather devastating time for our family. So many of the great posters that have been mentioned above helped bring much-needed respite for my son and me. I will always be grateful to Tom and crew for giving us a chance, albeit only in short spurts, to "escape" into an unreal world.

It's been about 20 years now, but I am still here, as irrelevant as ever. I did win one of those "crack of the week" things for "Thrilla in Vanilla" many years ago. But otherwise, I just tend to pipe up with an old-time look at Penn State football.

Thanks to all those terrific individuals (I hesitate to name names because "what you give to one you take from another") who make this BWI Board the best. God bless you all.
