I watched the 4th quarter of the game today. Had a 16 point lead with 6 minutes left. Game was tied with a minute to go. Got the lead back shortly after. One of the players was shooting foul shots to maybe clinch it. As she made the 1st one, they showed the coach and 3 players conferring over near the bench. As she missed the 2nd one, they were STILL huddled up even as the ball bounced off the rim. The coach had to quickly chase them back on the court to play defense. Never saw anything like it.

I really enjoyed the 2013 US Open at Merion. While I wasn't a Justin Rose fan heading in, he was such a gracious winner that he made me a fan. Looking forward to it returning in 2030.
Rene was a great women's' basketball coach who was ill used by the admin (her statement about 'not allowing that' in her program referred to not allowing lesbian players to pressure other girls into liaisons, not about not allowing lesbians, but the quote was taken out of context for years - Dave Jones pointed this out back when Rene was forced out).
She had three things going against her: 1) she was an entitled brat, by many accounts; 2) she went to the Bob Knight school of how to treat players; and 3) she lost in the early rounds of several tournaments where the team should have made a deep run.
My ultimate PSU PC memory: Year 1: People protest PSU Mens NIT because they got the gym instead of the women, who would have hosted an NCAA tournament game but lost out to the men and had to play on the road. Year 2: The women get to host an NCAA tournament game, and the same people protest, this time because Rene was allegedly mean to a lesbian player.
She was against grooming. Parents did not send their girls to be groomed.
PS I have hopes gir the current coach but their is a talent gap. Needs to recruit better.
And unfortunately 1 and 2 meant that she had a revolving door of players transferring out at the end of her tenure.
It was the right time for both PSU and Rene to move on...now, we need to find the right coach to bring us back to where Rene had us at one point.
And karma says BS. After her players graduated, the team was done as a power. Her players were better than her replacements players.
Rene's last two seasons were brutal...Coquese won 3 straight Big Ten titles. We fell off a cliff after that, but we certainly had a nice run under Coquese that had nothing to do with Rene's coaching.
When you are routinely getting beat by 25-30 points in DI basketball that is on the coach! What are you doing when you are getting hammered like that? You obviously have no offensive and defensive gameplan. We need a new conditioning coach as well. Way too many slow, heavy girls that can't move. I watched part of their game against Iowa and they were just run out of the arena!!! Even the Iowa big girls were muscle and could haul ass!! We looked like we were stuck in the mud! I think we need to go in another direction. She has had 4 years and we are going in the WRONG direction!
I was thinking we could just throw a wig and lipstick on Pickett or Funk and he are Tourney Champs!!
Maggie Lucas pretty much willed them to three titles if my memory is correct. Wasn't coaching though Coquese Wasn't as bad as people claim

Back in the day, not that long ago, I watched Rene's teams with regularity. And had high hopes for coach K's teams after watching the clueless previous coach stand on the sideline with her arms folded watching as a spectator...... But they are just plain weak. She can't recruit decent bigs and the bigs she gets don't seem to develop. So they get pounded by the stronger teams from the midwest. Does PSU women's BB even have and S&C program?

I was more interested in knowing about the "perverse" part...thankfully, the world is evolving, and thinking like that of joeaubie21 is becoming more and more rare.
I am not sure that that is true statement? There are a billion Christians, a billion Muslims, a billion Hindus, millions of conservative and orthodox Jews that all strongly believe that it is perfectly fine not to embrace and promote every sexual perversion that comes down the pipe. The more the woke try to force these perversions down our throat, the more they are galvanizing the religious who prefer decent family values, who before were passive are now much more active to challenge the woke minority.

No. Sexual practices that go against the laws of nature. Telling people that you can change your gender. Your gender isn't "fluid", that is a lie and why would you ever want to confuse a child like that? You can't change the laws of nature. The constant indoctrination that homosexuality, transgender, non-binary, drag queens having to read and perform ridiculously sexual performances in front of kindergarteners/1st graders is not only acceptable lifestyles but need to actively promoted to children as soon as possible. The deviants that promote these lifestyles know that need to break a child's religious/family values. So they need to try and isolate these children as young as possible and separate them from their existing values and promote their deviant lifestyles. That way they can sow seeds of confusion in young children and try and override their parents moral value system. That is what is mobilizing middle America to rise up against the WOKE!!!
