I was thinking about where we stand after a year of DT as president and compare with what might have been as well as what the inaction in Congress has meant.
. I will try to be as unbiased as possible considering I am a conservative. Here goes

SCOTUS
cons love it
progressives hate it
My opinion- I like it but there will never be agreement

Health Care
Cons disappointed with no repeal
Progressive's happy with no repeal.
MO - things are where they would be even if HRC were elected with a R congress- no change

Foreign Affairs
ISIS on the run likely would have been with HRC as well
N Korea- tough one here. DT certainly has provoked NK However, I think NK would be developing nuclear ballistic weapons regardless on President. DT has engaged China a little more although so far with little result. -
MO - no real change just a lot more bluster

Social discourse
I'll blame social media and the 24 hr news cycle primarily but the tweeting just adds to it. It seems to me both parties and the media help exaggerate our differences and play to their bases. Race relations got worse with Obama for 8 years and they continue to deteriorate with DT. Each side takes every news event to "push" their ideology. If HRC were President discourse would continue to be terrible. The only difference would be the group in control would be pushing a different ideology.

Economy
The numbers are clear. Economy growing faster than the last 8 years, stock market roaring, unemployment at a low. You can make a case that the first year of a Presidency is as much a result of his/her predecessor as any thing they do. What is a little harder to credit to anyone but the current President is what future views are. On that count, consumer confidence is at a 20 year high, and the stock market which tends to be future looking is screaming.[up 41% in one year]

Russia
. cons believe nothing burger
. progressives - biggest threat in US history
MO - SWAMP at it's best
nobody is clean here.
Russia would love to screw with our election, take that as a given.

before the election
Obama - "tell Vlad I'll have more flexibility after the election"
Trump - "the election is fixed"
HRC -"that's disgraceful"
Obama -"tell him to quit whining and go get votes"

after the election
HRC -"the election was fixed"
HRC- "Comey cost me the election"
Trump - "Comey won't tell the people what he has told me privately" Your fired

Dossier - both parties talking to Russian's about dirt on the other [surprised?]
Special investigator - millions of dollars and 12 months plus 12 months prior by Comey and no sign of it ending.

So in summary it seems to me the only difference between HRC and Trump so far has been on the economic side. It has been tax cuts [or the promise of], and less regulation which has given people and business new confidence. TDS abounds, Clinton/Obama DS abounds and the country just keeps grinding along. To the left the last 12 months have been pure hell despite some really good economic news, to the right, at long last the cultural slide we have been on has at least paused and the "workingman" has a voice again.

Who knows what today's news will bring but somehow we will survive.
