Smallest crowd at Ohio Stadium since the 1970s....
Looks like Ohio State's defense isn't the only thing that forgot to show up this season.

The article states: "Most of the empty seats during Saturday’s game were in the upper deck of the stadium and in the corners of the south-end zone stands."Is that b/c of Covid restrictions?
the Meyer influence is now erased. Is Day the right coach for OSU?
Day is an excellent coach…don’t sleep on O$U…they are uber-talented, well coached, and they will get every benefit from the Big10 and Big10 refs. Still the overwhelming favorite to win the conference..the Meyer influence is now erased. Is Day the right coach for OSU?
It’s that time if the year where they pick their nuts in OhiaThere’s a shortage of face paint in Ohio, so people stayed home since they couldn’t fully support their Bucks in style
Spoiled? They had 100,000 for Oregon last week (less than capacity of around 103,000). The 76,000 yesterday was lowest since 1971. Granted it was Tulsa as an opponent but I still would expect around 20,000 more.
What’s going on in Columbus?
I agree.Day is an excellent coach…don’t sleep on O$U…they are uber-talented, well coached, and they will get every benefit from the Big10 and Big10 refs. Still the overwhelming favorite to win the conference..
Disagree on them now being the OVERWHELMING favorite. They are not well coached on defense and that's their issue right now. Offense, yes, that's a different story as they're going through growing pains with their new, inexperienced QB right now when they do have offensive problems. But it's still high octane especially with that FR RB - Henderson - exploding yesterday. Defense - not so much.Day is an excellent coach…don’t sleep on O$U…they are uber-talented, well coached, and they will get every benefit from the Big10 and Big10 refs. Agree all the way. Day is a really good offensive play caller, but he not a culture/process/detail maniac in the vein of Urban and Saban. The guys that played under Urban are mostly cycled through and this OSU team does not have the detail/discipline of Meyer coached teams.the Meyer influence is now erased. Is Day the right coach for OSU?
Thank you for the sandbagging Bucknut1972.Disagree on them now being the OVERWHELMING favorite. They are not well coached on defense and that's their issue right now. Now, are they still the favorite ? Maybe but I think PSU is right there with them. I don't think anyone is sleeping on OSU or at least I hope not for other B1G schools.
They have lost exactly 1 regular season game under Day. They will be more than fine with their dominating talent gap.Agree all the way. Day is a really good offensive play caller, but he not a culture/process/detail maniac in the vein of Urban and Saban. The guys that played under Urban are mostly cycled through and this OSU team does not have the detail/discipline of Meyer coached teams.
Right.. I agree. But that's why I found this so surprising. The 76,540 announced was the paid attendance. Not actual butts in seats. What will we have for a noon game against Villanova? It’ll be called 95,000 but I’ll be pleasantly surprised if there are more than 85k in the house.
Ah. Point taken, that is surprising.Right.. I agree. But that's why I found this so surprising. The 76,540 announced was the paid attendance. Not actual butts in seats.
