There is a wonderful piece on Matt Millen in today's Free Press (I'd attach it, but I'm in my late 70s and have no idea how to do that and the grandchildren are all out of town). About 10% dealt with Matt's awful performance as the Lions GM, and it was awful, the rest was all about what a wonderful human being Matt was when he was in Detroit and still is. It ends asking for prayers for Matt.

I lived in Detroit for the majority of the "Matt Millen as Detroit Lions GM era."
He wasn't particularly good at his job. And the Detroit media was fair in pointing that out. I DID think they got a bit unfair though in later years - it got a bit personal.
Time to forgive. It's not like any other Detroit Lions' GMs have led the Honolulu Blue and Silver to NFL glory either.
