OSU and Mich dont seem to ever have "small" recruiting classes

JF has already had some "small" recruiting classes. i dont recall OSU or Mich having any small classes in the last few years. by small i am thinking <20. this gives OSU and Mich a built in advantage.
 
Maybe it is a comment on the high risk nature of some of their recruits.
The don't make the grade academically or have other problems and are gone.
 
To a certain extent Franklin had his hands tied in managing the roster by the (after)effects of the sanctions. Going forward, class sizes will be in the 20+ range.

LOL. Or maybe, in OSU's case, it's due to so many underclassmen entering the NFL draft.

They had 9 early entrants for the 2016 draft and 6 for the 2017 draft. That will open up some spots.
