Call me crazy, but I predict the pokes to become top 3 again next year. AA finishes at 125,133,141,149,157,165,174,197, and 285. If they were to pull the shirt on Wittlake I could see another added at 184. They won't touch PSU because they rarely bonus, but 9 AA is crazy. They had some real head scratching results this year, but GFeller and Fix are hammers and Joe Smith comes out of shirt. White has really become a solid 285.
I will wager a quarter, right now, the Pokes will not have 9 AAs next year. It just doesn't happen all that often.

say what we will about HR/Iowa/Brands but he probably had his best year coaching in a long time and I dont think you would ever-EVER see a hawk team in 14th place at nationals.

I wouldn't be too concerned about them. If their recruits pan out, we'll all be dissing their success in no time.
That's a lot of teams to leapfrog . Who do you see them not jumping over?
I see next year as PSU by about 30 points then OSU,Iowa, and tOSU fighting it out for the other spots.

What mat is the Bo Nickal and PDIII match on?

About half the kids are looking to next year where they get to bump up a weight.
OSU has great tradition ( the greatest), but not nearly the amount of passionate fans who will call for a coaches head. Smith could have pulled a couple of shirts and moved his team into the top 10. This team will be good next year. They will be an especially tough dual meet team.
Agree with JPW that the Pokes will be in the mix next year with Iowa, OSU, and maybe N.C. State but all probably battling for #2. PSU will have over 100 pts returning, again, with youngsters at 125/133/149... PSU will expect more from Lee, Rasheed/Cassar, and Nevills, too. The PSU weakness, if there has been one, is in the lower weights, besides Nico. Not next year....
