Will only eat fast food when visiting West Coast, which I did two weeks. Worth the wait. Under $3 for delicious cheeseburger. Fries could be better.

Of those options, I chose DQ simply for the blizzard to wash down the grease. Overall though, I have to go with White Castle. I do it about once every 5 years or so just to remind myself why I don’t do it more often, but I always enjoy it for the 15 minutes it visits my digestive system.

To each their own but In N Out is on par with BK, McDonald's or Hardee's in my opinion. Not good and I don't get the hype.

Maybe I'd feel differently if I lived near one but if I'm on the West Coast, I'm not wasting a meal on a Thousand Island burger when there are so many better burger joints.

I'm writing in Culver's.
Culver's is deelish!

I agree. Went to one when we were out in AZ for the Fiesta Bowl and I didn’t get the hype either. Just my opinion, but Five Guys >>>In N Out Burger.

That and I shouldn't have to pay 50 bucks for burgers and fries for 4 people. Most overpriced joint out there.
That is only a hair above mcdonalds and wendys nowadays and at much better quality. I was desperate last week and went to wendys on the road.... I paid $9 something for a simple value meal. You can save on fries at Five Guys by sharing large size with 1 or 2 others.

Also their default burger is two patties - they won’t tell you that though you can order single patty burgers.

I haven't tried Culver's. I'll put that on my list.

I don’t get the hype either. Had it for first time about 5 years ago and then a couple of times since. I’m trying to figure out why I’m not getting the cult like attraction.

My favorite in college was a DQ chili dog followed by a Peanut Buster Parfait.
I would die immediately if I ate that now.

As an aside, I'm dying to try the new Popeye's chicken sandwich. They built a new Popeye's not far from me but despite being finished for what seems like several weeks, it hasn't opened. In the time that it took to build and finish, a nearby Chick-fil-A was built and opened (and has been in operation) for several months. No idea what the hold up is.

1. Chick fil a
2. Arby's

As for an outlier your have to do once a year just for the hell of it

I miss the original McDonald's apple pies from like 30 years ago. The ones from when I was kid and I believe they were fried. If you ate them fresh you'd be sure to have blisters on the roof of your mouth. Sorry for getting a little OT but that's what popped into my head when I read this title. Loved those things. Anyone else remember them?

Those things were awesome with a vanilla shake. Yep deep fried goodness served in that paperboard pouch.
