OT: All knowing board.....ski resorts in PA

Slight detour...I have watched The Office thru at least 6 or 7 times on Netflix and I can't place the episode you're referring to. Feel like I should trade in my Dundy for not knowing.

IIRC, Michael J Scott chose "Ima Childlover" so that all the ladies on-line would know exactly what to expect (sic)

Read alot of good skiing but for bang for buck would be montage between wilksbarre and Scranton then up to elk about 30 min apart.plrnty to do around that area of town.

Go west... Park City is easiest, Jackson Hole is the best by far, Colorado can be fun too. Alta is my favorite but not much else going on there except the best snow on the planet (although I have not made my way to Japan which supposedly has even better snow).
Park City was my immediate thought, Jackson hole rocks, but seems to have more of an adult feel. Prefer Snowbird, but hey, same canyon...
For the OP, look into Wisp in western MD... I live 20 minutes from there and the snow (lake effect powder) is the most similar to what I had in Utah of everywhere I skiied in the east. Not super challenging, but plenty of stuff for the kids to do...

That's a bit of a stretch.
Snowshoe has 244 skiable acres
Vail has 5,289 skiable acres.

Snowshoe may be a decent place but comparing it to Vail is comical.
I was referring to the village which is/was a Vail Mountain property and looks exactly like things in Vail:/Breckinridge. I just stayed in Breck, the condo there was exactly like the one I had at Snowshoe.
You are correct, to compare the mountains would be comical, one is in the East the other the Rookies. Why anyone would even suspect the mountains being the same is comical. Now if you want a Vail type experience , relative to lodging /amenities, that is drivable from PA, Snowshoe just might be the place!!

Go a bit further north to Mont Tremblant. Have been skiing there since 2000 when my kids were 9 and 11 and we all love it.
I went to Mt Tremblant in the summertime a couple of years ago. Fantastic place for biking, hiking, golf, restaurants, blues festival, scenery, etc. Stayed right in the center of town Loved it.
