OT Attending Ryder Cup

AKB. Drew 4 tickets for the Ryder Cup at Bethpage this year. Plan on arriving a few days early and spend some time on Long Island. Flying into JFK and will probably rent a car from there. Thinking airbnb but would consider a hotel also. Here's a few questions if anyone could help out with.

1)Any good areas to stay that would have bars and food joints withing walking distance but still within 20-30 minutes of Bethpage?
2)Sights to see on Long Island? Great bars or restaurants? Any certain beaches better than others?
3)Any spectator tips for Bethpage?

American AirPower Museum and the Cradle of Aviation Museum, as well as the Teddy Roosevelt home up near Oyster Bay are on my personal list of things to see out there. Have a blast!

Lucky you…I struck out and wasn’t going to spend $1200 or more for one day, just for a ticket.

I was at Beth Page in 2019 for the PGA. We drove in from Jersey. It’s way out there on Long Island, so not sure there is anything within walking distance.

Rooms, which are already very expensive for that area, will be sky high for the Ryder Cup. If you haven’t booked one yet you need to do so ASAP.

The course itself is beautiful and very hilly. If you walk the entire 18 you will feel like you just worked out.

Finally, the Ryder Cup might be the best event there is. I attended the 23 event in Rome, and even though the US got spanked it was an incredible experience. You will love it!
