OT: Austin bombing suspect dies near Round Rock TX

Well, they already said he be white so that should satiate your racist concerns.

I thank you and have a blessed day.

Before I even opened your post I knew what you were going to say

Not satiate. Just does not surprise.

Unfortunately it appears he took his own life so we will never know why he did it.

Still need to be careful -he may have sent off other packages before he killed himself. Don't know what s out there.

You have a blessed day as well. I will be snowed in.

Yeah, not surprising. Will applaud the authorities who were able to get this guy; great work considering they claimed to have zero leads a few days ago.

according to police sources, they were able to flag his car on FedEx facility surveillance video, and then saw his vehicle in a hotel parking lot

good old fashioned police work

I read they also scoured receipts from hardware stores to see if any suspicious purchases were made, and when they found some, they were able to find the guy's IP address and confirm some troubling Google searches. The big break was the surveillance though at the FedEx store though.

Good old fashioned police work indeed!

Explosion about 5 miles from my house this morning in Round Rock. Traffic was a b**ch this morning, and I had no idea until, I got to work (refuse to listen to any "news"). Round Rock swat fired shots at the suspect as well. Really didn't want this POS to survive. Glad it's over and no trial is needed.

Yes, excellent work by FBI and other law enforcement. An apparent clue revealed by Fed Ex personnel: How many customers walk in a drop off location wearing gloves and a blond wig? What car was he driving as revealed by security cameras in that Fed Ex parking lot? Who owns that car? Now let's wait for him to turn on his phone. He does just that in Round Rock. Well, I'll be damned, there's that car in a motel lot in that area. This is just some of the police work. Sometimes the bad guys are dumb trying to be smart.

The tripwire bomb occurred a few houses from a close friend and the 2nd to last one near a Goodwill Store I pass by pretty much every 3rd day as Brodie Lane is a major alternate route for me.

As for the video, a coworker’s wife and baby were at a Barnes and Noble across a parking lot from that FedEx store yesterday. Police were entering every business in the shopping center and pulling surveillance tapes and had cordoned off Fed Ex. That’s when I knew they were closing in - that center is not going to get a ton of traffic mid-week and running searches wouldn’t take long. I was worried he knew it wouldn’t be long and would send out a slew of devices as a last gasp.

Glad the ahole is dead

"And the game's over then the white ball drives the black ball completely off the table." School us, please.

I think this might be the scariest of them all as he seemed like a pretty normal kid. at least in the other situations where these things happened, you went back in their history and there were some trigger points and unique situations that you could point to. Seems like this kid grew up in a reasonably normal household and had a pretty normal upbringing and didn't show any signs of craziness. And then he goes on a random killing spree, not like he even targeted a specific type/class of people, just apparently woke up one day and decided that he wanted to kill random people.

I have no idea what that is supposed to mean.

If you are upset because I think this guy is a terrorist- too bad.

If you are upset because you don't think white people can be terrorists- then you have bigger issues than anything I, or anyone else, can school you on.
