OT: Bandersnatch

Yep. Just spent an hour-ish going through multiple endings until I finally got one that didn’t allow me to keep playing so I bagged it for tonight.

Loved all the Black Mirror easter eggs sprinkled throughout the episode and was very impressed with how seemlessly the choices flowed from the scene into the next action.

I so want to post thoughts/questions about scenes but don’t want to spoil anything for others. 5 stars out of 5

I thought it was great
I got through 2 different endings. One ending was super lame and other was great. Im sure there are multiple other endings as well but doesnt seem there are any happy endings.

I want to do it again just to see the other different paths the character takes but took me nearly 3 hours just to finish first time.

Was it frumious?

Beat me to it....Frumious: Combination of "fuming" and "furious". In the Preface to The Hunting of the Snark Carroll comments, "[T]ake the two words 'fuming' and 'furious'. Make up your mind that you will say both words, but leave it unsettled which you will say first. Now open your mouth and speak. If your thoughts incline ever so little towards 'fuming', you will say 'fuming-furious'; if they turn, by even a hair's breadth, towards 'furious', you will say 'furious-fuming'; but if you have the rarest of gifts, a perfectly balanced mind, you will say 'frumious'."[

my fiancee and I interrupted our Dr Who marathon to check it out. Spent about 4-1/2 hours on it, LOL

best option is during the fight scene . . . "F**K YEAH!"

I think we got to 5 different endings. apparently there is a thread on reddit breaking down the all the narratives and pathways. I'm not going down that rabbit hole.

At first I thought this was a documentary on young female groupies that follow rock bands.

I like the idea, but Bandersnatch is one of the dumbest things I've seen on Netflix.

Too many dead ends and circular paths with no real concrete plot.

I thought it was quite a bit of fun. A new way to engage viewers and makes viewing less of a passive experience.

I'm not sure how much effort went into it's development, but it could be a new trend as all the permutations would allow studios to get a lot more mileage out of a production.

What the heck does “meta” mean??

It has become the go to slang phrase for something that is self-referencing. My take on why Bandersnatch could be considered meta is because one of the choices takes the main character down a path where they're told they are being controlled by Netflix. So a netflix produced show is referencing netflix being to used to control a character in said show - meta.
