OT: Bands you listen to that not to many people heard of

Another great song. On the slower side....good stuff. I haven’t seen that concert.

Thanks again
Never saw Porcupine Tree but have seen Steven Wilson several times. Great concerts and band. His keyboard player, Adam Holzman, has his own fusion band, Brave New World, and he was Miles Davis’ musical
director in the last years of the Miles Davis Band.

Rotary Connection with Minnie Riperton (who had a 5 octave voice!)

If you appreciate country music. You have to check out this kid: Zach Bryan.

Great voice. Worth checking out if you dig this kind of music. Kid blows me away:

The Circle Jerks.

Be careful on the links if you google them.
Reminds me of the spring of 2000...the Redskins just drafted Lavar, and I wanted to get a jersey so did some internet searching on my work computer at lunch. NFL.com didn’t have them for sale yet. Figured I’d try Dicks Sporting Goods next, and learned that dicks.com definitely wasn’t their web site.

Or at least that’s the story you told IT and HR... not that there’s anything wrong with that...

Dirty Heads, Rebulution, Stick Figure, and Slightly Stoopid are 4 that come to mind. Summer beach beer music....aka So Cal reggae.

You just listed my summer playlist poolside. You throw some Pepper, Bryce Vine, Iration, and Ballyhoo in and I ain’t moving for a couple hours!!

If your a Dirty Heads fan make sure you check them out on YouTube. They are doing virtual unplugged concerts every two weeks. Just did one last week and it was fantastic.

Lucifer’s Friend. German musicians with a British lead singer. Excellent musicians.

A later song from the era with a different lead singer.

Budgie. Contemporaries of early 70’s British hard rock bands Deep Purple, Sabbath, Zeppelin, etc. A favorite of the band Metallica who covered one of their songs. Great song names like Nude Descending Parachutists Woman and Napoleon Bonapartes One and Two.

Epitaph. Another German “Krautrock” band, many on the same Billingsgate label such as Frumpy, Neu, Guru Guru, Jane, Lucifer’s Friend, and the Scorpions.
