OT: Best band name ever "Led Zepplin" someone 2nd that please

I agree. Led Zeppelin wins, for nothing more than Jimmy Page's FU to the person who didn't like The New Yardbirds.

Now, I shall attempt to badly date myself:

Toad the Wet Sprocket - for Python fans only of course.

The Sex Pistols.

Pearl Jam - if the backstory is true.

The The. No, on second thought, this always annoyed the F out of me.

X, Bikini Kill, L7 - prrfct for punk and riot grrls.

10,000 Maniacs - who sound nothing like you'd expect based on that name.
They Might be Giants - sticking in the we're ripping off bad 50's monster movies genre.

Velvet Underground, Talking Heads -

And of course, Dread Zeppelin. And their lead-singer - Tortelvis.

For you Nick Hornsby/John Cusack/Jack Black fans - Kathleen Turner Overdrive.

Cannibal Corps
Cuntsaw
Goatwhore
Alabama Thunderpussy
Scrotum Staplers
Ballsac

These are real band names

Re: "Mott the Hoople" Saw them as the opening act for Jethro Tull back

in '71. They were great.

Nine Inch Nails is nearly perfect.

Others I like for whatever reason - Fugazi, This Mortal Coil, Joy Division, Smiths, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Tool, Black Flag, Throbbing Gristle, Sex Pistols, Bikini Kill, The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Slayer, and Motorhead.
