Has anyone ever received an email confirming an "invoice receipt" for purchase of a firewall system. I received two of these today from the same sender, each for $1498.00. I've never dealt with or purchased anything from this company. I checked my credit card activity and thus far, no charges are indicated. I'm inclined to just ignore this. Or should I notify the banks in advance in case a charge should come through?

Ignore. They will attempt to get your credit card or bank info. Hit delete and block the sender

Yes they will try to get the card you used for this 'purchase' you never made.

And of course your name.

I'll tell you what...

Give me your credit card number, expiration date and that 3-digit number on the back of the card and Detective_MackDaddy will investigate for you - PRO BONO. It's the least I could do for a fellow Humanist.
