OT: Boiling Springs Tavern — Sad News

If you’ve ever been to the bar at Boiling Springs Tavern, you likely knew Mike, the bartender. Best bartender I’ve ever met and a great guy all around. Unfortunately, he was taken from us far too soon. Hopefully some of you had the pleasure of meeting him and are willing to share some memories.

Very sad news. We make a few trips each year to the Boiling Springs Tavern. Prayers for him and his family.

Cycled thru boiling springs one cold December morning while visiting my mom near h-burg. Stopped at the coffee shop for an espresso. All the while this guy was staring at me. I sorta assumed it was the Lycra, but when he got up to leave he came up to me and said “hey buddy, I think they shorted you on your coffee”.

Just read about Mike’s passing on another site. Sorry to hear about this. He was a good guy - met him and his friends from CD in the early 80s when I lived in Hbg.
