He was born and raised there. But, he's worked overseas recently. Last I heard he was living in London. Although he did attend Saturday's game.Truly tragic. Does Brandon also live in McKeesport?
it ain't that roughBrandon is a McKeesport native IIRC. It’s a rough town. What a shame. My heart goes out to him and family.

I absolutely love the use of facts on this board to counter an incorrect or foolish comment (that OT statement in this thread is not meant to diminish the impact of the tragedy that just occurred to one of our absolutely finest and best spokesperson's for PSU and Penn State football).![]()
McKeesport is 4th most dangerous city in America, according to study
The study looked at a violent crime rate average per 1,000 people, as well as police adequacy.www.wtae.com

It’s a small world. My Dad was born in East McKeesport in 1928. Maybe our fathers knew each other.I have never been there, but I know the name of the town only because I know that’s where my father was born in 1928.
My sincere condolences to the young lady’s friends and family.

All the best to Brandon and his family.
I’m there multiple times a week, maybe I just know how to handle myself. Nobody has ever done or tried to do anything to me while I’m in McKeesport. Now, now,....certain parts are indeed rough sir.
My hometown of McKees Rocks is not Shangri-La either so I can relate.
She was 26 and his oldest child so the timing would be right. If I remember correctly, he had a kid back in McKeesport while he was at Penn State. Not sure if this is the same child.
It’s worse than that, we reward people that suck off of society and demonize those that work hard and care for their families. They are all victims, dontchaknowAs long as politcians keep blaming the police and turning their heads to violence in our cities or towns in specific areas, this will continue. No politician has the ball to address this problem. There were approximately 134 individuals shot in one Memorial Day Weekend in Chicago. What does the brain surgeon Mayor said about this, more excuses!!!
Compared to what, Kabul? GTFOit ain't that rough

Most of western PA outside of Pitt is like this. Aliquippa, new castle, erie, clairton, sharon, oil city.....Eastern and Central PA are not much better. Really sad to see what has happened over the last 40 years to these communities.Terrible news.
I have driven through McKeesport to get to work nearly every morning for the past 50+ years. I lived there when I first got married. My wife was born there. Since the steel mills collapsed it is a poverty ridden, dangerous place. I am careful where I drive and rarely stop to buy anything. The deterioration of McKeesport due to the mill closings is tragic.
That is awful. Brandon is a great guy and beloved member of our Penn St family. We all need to be in his corner with prayers/ positive energy/ support.Horrible news and prayers to the Short family
