This has been eating at me since Saturday, and I really feel we need to clear the air. I've had a lot of cake in my day, and I feel it's wrong to single out any one kind of cake as being better than the rest. This whole notion that ice cream cake is somehow superior to other cakes is just farcical and uncouth. I'm not naming any names or calling anyone out for his ideas, but I happen to know that the chocolate layer cake from Wegman's received a superior rating in the recent WTNuke Family Cake-off.
