OT: Earle Bruce, former OSU coach

sad news ---- I admired Bruce because he devoted a lot of time in his post-coaching years to Alzheimer's fundraising, but announced today that he has the early stages of the disease himself.

Wish him well, and he had a pretty good run at OSU in the 1980s. Winning record (5-4) against Michigan. School treated him rather poorly when they fired him in 1987, but he didn't hold a grudge.

He may have dementia now and deserves kindness but some of the crude and ignorant comments he made about other programs and coaches in the past point him out to be a POS. IMO.
