In general, sideline reporting tends to be a lot of fluff, but I've always enjoyed Holly Rowe. She started working college football right around the time I got into it as a kid, and always preferred her reporting over Erin Andrews. It also doesn't hurt that she did sideline reporting for a game I"ve watched in it's full entirety more times than what I care to admit. Ohio State 2005.... I'll never forget this question at the end of the game, victory bell clanging in the background.... EPIC
Holly Rowe: "People wanna know if Penn State's back, what would you say?" JoePa: ... Wellll I dunno whetha we ever left."
So yeah, Holly Rowe is pretty much the only thing ESPN has done right over the past 20 years. I somehow stumbled upon the interview with Dan Patrick and Holly from back in 2016, and the ending of this cracks me up. Can't you just picture Bob Knight riding shotty.. making holly drive in a blizzard so he can woof down micky d's? ... Feeding holly french fries? lol
Her work ethic and love for college athletics is contagious. She's good at what she does cause she loves it so much.
