I would like to know could any one here say with ease that they would take up arms vs there family, town, friends. Etc.

I used to wonder that, but not anymore. In today's political climate, I can see it for sure.

Lee was the first choice. Scott was general Of the army and retired. Lee was most definitely his first choice since lee was his star pupil and lee was Superindent at West Point at one point. So it was a no brained.

Lee was a great American.

That was not what I said but I did say that the Germans were using a lot of second line men in Western Europe. Also, if any of you are genuinely interested in WW2, follow TIK on youtube. Seems to have well researched this whole thing.
