my wife's cousin's kid has been offered a spot on the Brazil Natl Soccer Squad youth development program.. kid is 14 and almost 6 foot tall. His parents want him to go to school and possibly live in the US (like many Brazilians, they are proud of their country but despise living there.. if you have Brazilian relatives you would understand). So he might come up to San Diego and try out for the clubs. Next dilemma.. does he go pure club (the most elite) or club/High school. I def want him in High school to work on the language and prep for a US upper education.. if the kid is good he could end up playing at a Penn State or Virginia down the road. I like the kid but he will need a host family.. I'm not real big on having a teenager around the house for 3 years LOL. Man, sometimes you just end up taking on stuff that you never even planned LOL.-sg
