I figured this board could use some positive vibes with regards to longevity and record breaking wins.

And when I saw the sports page of the Williamsport Sun, I was happy to see Coach Insinger of Loyalsock Township recording his 1000th. He's been running the show at Sock since 1974, now he's even more of small town celeb as the winningest basketball coach in the State. I'm good friends with his daughters (both Penn Staters) and reached out this morning to tell them congrats, and I asked how long he planned to stay in the game?

I got this gem: "He hasn’t decided. He still loves it. He says he’ll stop when it becomes a chore"

Ironically CI is currently in the middle of his 45th season... just like ...

We need a basketball coach that can oneday say this kind of stuff...

Who's ready to climb? Anyone still "climbing"? ... Everyone ready, let's climb.

Can't imagine any young coaches putting up with today's snowflake parents long enough
to be around 45 years.

CI has it pretty good at Loyalsock. It's a small township school that includes the upper crust of the Williamsport area. Terrific tax base and lots of resources. Most parents are professionals that value academics and not obsessed with chasing college scholarships. He's an institution and has coached a couple generations of Lancers.

Damn.....1000 wins in 45 seasons? 22 per year? amazing. anyone know how many losses?
